Egyptian Mummies

On Thursday, February 13, the Young Philanthropists Circle of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Foundation were in on an open secret — an enchanting evening celebrating the coming conclusion of the Egyptian Mummies: Exploring Ancient Lives exhibition. It turned out to be quite an opportunity to enjoy a pharaonic experience.

…and enjoyed a performance by the circus troupe The 7 Fingers.

And, of course, to titillate the taste buds, there were cocktails and food stations.

Participants were invited to don gold, sequins and peacock feathers for the occasion.

Original creations by Quebec jeweller Anne-Marie Chagnon were loaned to guests for this unforgettable evening.

What is the Circle?

An initiative of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Foundation, the Young Philanthropists Circle is a group of young urban professionals — aged between 25 and 40 — who love culture. Above all, members get together for various events in order to socialize and network while learning about art and philanthropy. There are about 500 members whose efforts have contributed to collecting nearly half a million dollars for the Museum since 2012!
