DON'T MISS Taste Of The Caribbean Virtual Miniseries S1! 4As many of you know, festivals simply cannot take place the way they used to. And while no one can replace that feeling of connection and freedom that is buzzing the crowds of cultural escapades, we can think outside the box and at least produce some virtual fun!

Official Trailer!

Personally, virtual “parties” don’t cut it for me, since parties are designed purely for human connection. I CAN get into webisodes though, because they were always meant for watching on a screen!

I love the idea that TOTC (Taste Of The Caribbean) decided this year to condense their festival fun into bite-sized weekly capsules!  There are dozens of free weekly webisodes that we can look forward to. Join BKM and thousands of other Carribean culture enthusiasts, into a wacky and wonderful Wednesday with Taste Of The Caribbean!

Taste of The Caribbean (TOTC) festival is celebrating its 21st anniversary and is eager to continue its mission to promote the diversity of Montreal’s Caribbean culture across Canada.

What would have been the usual 4-day festival with an array of live performances, dances, music, arts, food and beverages of all kinds, representing many of the Caribbean islands, such as Haiti, Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and many more, will now be a virtual affair.

EVERY WEDNESDAY @ 7:00 PM (EST Time Zone) from now till Christmas, as they explore local Caribbean restaurants, chefs, artists, mixologists, celebrities, culture, and more, here in Canada.

Every week, we’ll bring you a different cocktail for your mini QuaranTeam stream festivity that is Caribbean inspired and curated just for you!

This week’s drink is a classic Caribbean Sunrise! Due to the fact that these magical islands have less smog and pollution, the clear seas boast really magnificent bleeding sunsets of red and yellow that illuminate the skies above! Since we are unlikely to see such spectacular settings in Montreal or Canada, we can at least enjoy a drink that looks like a Sunrise!

  • 65ml (2 1/2 fl oz) vodka, chilled – We suggest affordable, local and delicious BOLD Vodka!
  • 1 lime, squeezed
  • 200ml (1/3 pint) pineapple juice, chilled – We recommend OASIS, the no pulp helps the clarity
  • 50ml (2 fl oz) grenadine – Can’t go wrong with Teisseire, the French classic fruit syrup
  • 2 fresh pineapple slices, to garnish
Taste Of The Caribbean, BOLD vodka, carribean sunrise, mixology, tropical drinks
