HIVERSIDE | Montreal’s Only Ice Bar is at Riverside St-Henri

Looking for a winter wonderland experience without having to take a road trip up north? Riverside St-Henri’s ice bar — HIVERSIDE — is back bigger and better this year for the whole month of December.

Since opening in an abandoned St-Henri warehouse on August 4, 2017, Riverside has become a popular adult playground. More than just a hidden bar, the venue has a coffee shop, a terrace, an ice cream truck, a basket ball court, a sand volleyball court and an open space right next to Lachine Canal.

For the winter holiday season, Riverside owner Justin Jolin recruited Julien Doré – the ice sculptor of Quebec City’s famous Hôtel de Glace – to transform their terrace into Hiverside.

This glamorous igloo-like indoor ice bar will serve up hot or cold cocktails and mocktails, concocted by mixologist Max Coubès according to a fun winter theme…

“Cotton Candy Claus-mopolitan”, “Ho Ho Ho-T Toody”, “Poule Nord” and “A Cocktail in a Pear Tree”

…as well as shooters in shot glasses made of ice!

Hiverside has a walk-ins-only policy so first come, first served. The $20 entrance fee includes one free welcome cocktail…

…and two small heat packs, which you will definitely want to put in your gloves to keep your hands warm!
