Museum Ball 2019 | MMFA Gala and After-Ball Returns in Harmonies
The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts has announced that Museum Ball 2019 — the must-attend end-of-the-year evening for the city’s movers and shakers — will be held Saturday, November 2, starting at 6PM, under the theme of Harmonies.
The 59th Museum Ball, co-chaired by Marc Parent and Jean Raby, is the most important fundraising event of the year for the MMFA and will mark the inauguration of the Stephan Crétier and Stéphany Maillery Wing for the Arts of One World, which features more than 1,400 works from around the globe, past to present.
This historic event will also be an opportunity to celebrate Tourisme Montréal’s 100th anniversary.
The artistic direction of Cirque du Soleil’s Melissa Thompson will immerse guests in an exhilarating universe of spectacular installations depicting a world where different cultures interact and the MMFA drives cultural diplomacy.
At 9PM, the MMFA will welcome members of the Young Philanthropists’ Circle, co-presided by Emmanuel Philippe and Isabelle Gauthier-Brancoli, to its most anticipated annual event — the Museum After-Ball — starting with a champagne cocktail.
To top it all off, a dance party will break out at 10:30PM in the Museum’s Glass Court with a DJ that will propel Ball guests into the wee hours of the night.
