3. CHIAROSCURO — Interactive Exhibition

CHIAROSCURO is an interactive multimedia exhibition exploring how light and shadow shape human experience. Caserne 26’s cultural space is dedicated specifically to digital arts, immersive performances and emerging creative practices, making the location part of the appeal. (mappmtl.com)
And if digital art is your thing, NexuSérie is also running there August 27 and 28 from 2 PM to 6 PM, turning light, sound and space into an immersive environment.
Why go? Because sometimes looking at art isn’t enough. This one wants you inside the experience.
4. Global Art League 2026 — International Exhibition

International art lands in Griffintown as Global Art League 2026 brings contemporary artists together at the Montreal Art Center & Museum.

5. World Press Photo Montréal 2026

It would be difficult to publish this week’s Top 5 Montreal Art Exhibits without World Press Photo, which opens in Montreal on August 26.
The 2026 edition presents work by 42 awarded photographers selected after an international jury reviewed more than 57,000 photographs from 3,747 photographers across 141 countries. (worldpressphoto.org)
War, migration, climate, politics, identity and everyday human existence come together through images that demonstrate just how powerful documentary photography can still be.
The Montreal exhibition occupies Marché Bonsecours until October 12, with particularly generous evening hours: until 10 PM Sunday through Wednesday and midnight Thursday through Saturday.
