These are unprecedented times. It seems like the whole world has been brought to its knees – again, with the rapid and destructive spread of the latest COVID-19 variant Omicron. The decision comes as Quebec continues to grapple with surging COVID-19 cases fuelled by the Omicron variant and an increasingly fragile health-care network.

With restaurant dining rooms closed some owners have now decided to cease all operations for the time being. Others are trucking along in the only way they can, with takeout and delivery. Below is a list of restaurants doing the somewhat open for business, ordered by borough and neighbourhood.

Only take–out, drive thru and delivery orders are possible and handled in-house, through local online platforms, or third-party or the big fish in the pond Uber Eats and DoorDash.
