MTLàTABLE 2024: The Ultimate Culinary Celebration in Montreal
The tables are set! Tourisme Montréal officially kicks off MTLàTABLE today, the much-anticipated culinary event running from October 31 to November 17, 2024. For 18 days, Montreal transforms into a culinary crossroads where residents and visitors alike can explore the city’s diverse food scene. This year, over 170 restaurants are participating, with menus priced from $35 to $80 and brunches offered at $25. Each restaurant provides a unique menu designed to reflect Montreal’s vibrant food culture.
As Yves Lalumière, President and CEO of Tourisme Montréal, says, “MTLàTABLE is more than just an event – it’s an immersion into the culinary culture of our metropolis. For 12 years, this event, initiated by Tourisme Montréal, has brought locals, chefs, and visitors together around a shared passion for good food.”
New This Year: Brunch Options for MTLàTABLE Foodies
This year’s festival has added an exciting twist: the return of brunch! Ideal for families and early risers, brunch is served primarily on weekends at 33 participating restaurants, including Café Le Petit Flore, LOV McGill, and Rutba.

Our experience at ROSE ROSS captured everything MTLàTABLE represents. The restaurant’s decor transformed the intimate space with clever lighting and vintage touches, creating a welcoming glow that invited us to fully relax. Each course was a vibrant journey, crafted with exceptional skill and respect for ingredients, turning this into a meal we’ll remember.
Must-Try Dishes at ROSE ROSS
Our absolute favourite? The Risotto au céleri-rave with Alfred le Fermier cheese, truffle, and rich duxelles. Creamy and aromatic, it was both comforting and sophisticated, with the truffle’s earthy depth perfectly balanced by the subtle celery root. Each bite was as luscious as the last, and it’s the dish we’ll be thinking of until our next visit.
Another standout was the Coquille Saint-Jacques. Plump scallops, cod, and shrimp from the Îles de la Madeleine bathed in a Mornay sauce with Alfred le Fermier cheese and sweet corn. The seafood was tender and sweet, harmonizing beautifully with the sauce’s richness. It’s a dish that brings warmth and elegance with every bite, evoking images of coastal indulgence.
For dessert, the Pavlova aux agrumes delivered a light and refreshing finale, with a sorbet of orange and lemon verbena, topped with crystallized parsley and whipped cream. Just as we were finishing, the owner surprised us with an Aperol Spritz sorbet. This refreshing touch sealed the experience with a twist, ensuring we’ll be back for more.
