PORTUS 360 | Portuguese Fine-Dining in Rotating Restaurant
On the evening of February 26, the Portuguese upscale restaurant Portus 360 welcomed guest chef Carlos Teixeira. Under the auspices of the 2020 Montréal en Lumière high lights festival’s fine-dining program; the young chef prepared a special full-course dinner with wine pairing to be enjoyed in Montreal’s only rotating restaurant, on the 31st floor of the Evo Montreal building, with panoramic views of the city.
In order to bring some sunshine to our Montreal winter, Teixeira —chef at the Herdade do Esporão vineyard restaurant and rising star of Portuguese cuisine— developed a 7-course menu, based on authentic products from the Alentejo region of Portugal, including pork, clams, asparagus, wild mushrooms, bread, cilantro and olive oil.
If all of that wasn’t enough, attendees of this unique evening were in for a surprise — the chance to win a stay for two in the beautiful Alentejo region of Portugal at the chef’s vineyard.
I must really thank Carlos Teixeira, chef and owner Helena Loureiro and the entire team of Portus 360 for making our first time at the rotating restaurant a positively head-spinning experience!
