Summers in Montreal are always buzzing with fun things to do, but this year, the city is set to outdo itself with a dizzying array of cultural events. The main stage? Peel Street – the vibrant downtown artery that beats with the pulse of the city’s gastronomic and cultural heart. Brace yourselves for an exhilarating ride, as the worlds of motorsport, circus arts, and food collide in a city-wide celebration like no other.
The first act to sizzle on Peel Street is the return of the much-anticipated Destination Peel MTL Foodies festival.
Launched on May 11, this gastronomic extravaganza extends till October, making it the culinary calendar’s longest-running foodie delight. Get ready for a feast for the senses as the festival showcases the rich diversity of Montreal’s dining scene.
From the modern elegance of Campo to the Mediterranean allure of Ferreira and everything in between, the festival offers a slice of global cuisine right in the heart of Montreal.
The second event in this grand spectacle is the inaugural Peel Paddock Circus on June 14th.
Thanks to Formule Peel, Peel Street is set to transform into an exclusive hub where the adrenaline of Formula One merges with the enchanting allure of circus arts.
Expect high-octane thrills amidst a swirl of avant-garde performances, with acrobats soaring over luxury vehicles and showgirls strutting amidst racy fashion.
But the festival isn’t just a culinary walk through the city’s finest eateries.
It promises an enriched experience with culinary workshops, meal discovery evenings, and a plethora of local beer and wine pairings, all set against a pulsating backdrop of performances from local DJs and musicians.
And in true Montreal spirit, the festival will also feature expanded restaurant terraces and an urban oasis, bringing the festive spirit to every corner of Peel Street.
Peel Street has long been a global hub for culture and cuisine, attracting over half a million visitors in year 2022.
This year, with two blockbuster events, the Destination Peel MTL Foodies festival and the Peel Paddock Circus, Peel Street is set to redefine summer festivities.
