Thursday evening, January 18, marked a significant milestone in Montreal’s philanthropic and automotive history. The 20th edition of the Charity Preview Gala of the Montreal International Auto Show unfolded in a grand fashion, reflecting two decades of unyielding commitment to community and innovation.

The prestigious event, jointly hosted by the Montreal Automobile Dealers Corporation and the Palais des congrès de Montréal, in collaboration with the Journal de Montréal, raised an impressive $572,800 for five Montreal-area hospital foundations.
The beneficiaries of this year’s gala were Hôpital Pierre-Boucher Foundation, Institut de gériatrie de Montréal Foundation, Montreal Heart Institute Foundation, Montréal Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation, and Santa Cabrini Foundation.
Since its inception in 2005, the Charity Preview Gala has cumulatively donated over $10.5 million to various health-related initiatives, communicating the Montreal automobile industry’s substantial impact on local healthcare.

The event drew a crowd of 3,562 attendees, all gathered to support the five hospital foundations. In addition to supporting a noble cause, the guests enjoyed delicious cocktails, bubbles, wine, beer, themed food stations, and, of course, VIP access to the numerous attractions of the 2024 Montreal International Auto Show.
The evening offered a festive and exceptional atmosphere, with an array of live musical performances and entertainment.

Special recognition was given to the Journal de Montréal as the main partner, alongside major benefactors such as the Auto Guide, Templeton Marsh, First Canadian Financial Group, iA Dealer Services, Keeloop, Sirius XM, Sym-Tech Dealer Services, and Tire Link.

The evening also featured the announcement of the winner of the Sym-Tech Dealer Services travel draw. Congratulations to Hélène Lacroix, holder of ticket #0067, who won a $10,000 trip to Mexico, provided by Voyages orientation and Grupo XCaret, in collaboration with Sym-Tech Dealer Services.

The 79th edition of the Montreal Auto Show, held at the Palais des congrès, showcases the latest electric vehicles and innovations from over 20 major automotive brands, including 11 Canadian premieres. The show spans three floors and offers more than a dozen special attractions.
Highlights include the latest in the recreational and motor sports industry, a collection of exceptional modified cars, Luc Poirier’s Ferrari collection, electric vehicle test drives, the Performance Tuning Zone, and much more.
By participating in this unique and prestigious evening, guests made a difference for five hospital foundations in the Montreal region, each with a mission focused on improving healthcare in their community. The Montreal Auto Show continues to dazzle visitors until January 28, reaffirming its status as a beacon of automotive innovation and community involvement.
