K4K 2024 | Midnight Garden Gala Glimmers at Maison Principale
On Friday, April 26, Maison Principale hosted the K4K Gala
This festive event, co-chaired by Costadina Mavros and Brahm Mauer, offered an evening of joy and hope, to support the young cancer patients of Montreal Children’s Hospital. Presented by Earth Rated for the second consecutive year, the Kids for Kids Gala, in partnership with Sarah’s Fund for Cedars, has become a staple in Montreal’s philanthropic calendar.
The evening began at 7 PM with an exclusive VIP reception that set the tone for what was a heartfelt gathering. Culinary delights were in no short supply. VIP food sponsors offered an array of exquisite dishes that were both a treat to the palate and a sight to behold. The catering was a seamless blend of haute cuisine and comforting classics. Chefs provided a VIP experience that was both unique and memorable.
As the clock struck 9 PM, the K4K Gala officially commenced. Guests were welcomed into a ‘Midnight Garden’—a theme that transformed Maison Principale into a nocturnal wonderland, brimming with floral arrangements and ethereal lighting that promised an escape to an enchanted world.
Attendees, including prominent figures from various sectors such as major sponsors Great Foods, Air Canada, and Domaco Encocorp Construction, were seen enjoying the meticulously planned evening. The atmosphere was one of true camaraderie, with every conversation and shared smile contributing to the overarching goal of the night.
The generosity continued with the ‘Midnight sponsors’, who ensured that the sweet tooth of every guest was well catered to. The presence of establishments like Vespamore Catering highlighted the community’s wide-ranging support for this noble cause.
One of the highlights of the K4K Gala was the silent auction, featuring an array of items and experiences that sparked lively bidding wars. The excitement was palpable, as each bid brought more funds to support the crucial therapies provided on Sarah’s Floor – the Hematology-Oncology In-Patient Care Unit at Montreal Children’s Hospital.
Music, another vital component of the evening, was omnipresent with a live DJ set by the delightful Fafa Khan that captivated the attendees. The tunes ranged from classical melodies to modern beats, echoing the theme of bringing joy back to the kids. This melodic backdrop not only enhanced the evening’s ambiance but also served as a reminder of the healing power of music therapy being funded through the gala.
As the night drew to a close, the sense of achievement was evident on the faces of all those present. The event not only met its fundraising goals but also strengthened the community’s resolve to support these young warriors battling cancer.
In reflection, the K4K Gala was more than just a fundraiser; it was a testament to the strength and generosity of the Montreal community. Earth Rated’s continued partnership with Sarah’s Fund for Cedars exemplifies a commitment to not just corporate responsibility but to making a tangible difference in the lives of children who need it the most.
As guests departed, they left with not just memories of a beautiful evening but with the knowledge that their contributions would bring music, smiles, and a bit of magic back to the lives of children facing unimaginable challenges. The success of the K4K Gala reaffirms that in Montreal, community and compassion are always in season. We must really thank Gabriella Gullotti and the entire staff of Maison Principale for helping it happen.
