Since its soft opening on the sly last January, several renowned athletes have made the GOAT Grill — the only restaurant offering marinated and grilled chicken over charcoal in St-Henri — one of their favorite hangouts in town.
Passionate about sports and good food, the founders Gardy Henry and Michaël Marrache have developed a unique niche, combining the values of sportsmanship with their culinary vision to offer delicious dishes.

Their original cuisine concept features Portuguese chicken which is itself inspired by Angola and Mozambique, two former Portuguese colonies south of the Sahara. This personal touch acts as a signature in their different versions of marinated chicken made on a grill imported from Portugal.
The GOAT Grill offers midday and evening meals, prepared on site, which can be made for curbside pickup or no-contact delivery. This friendly little restaurant is one of the few in its kind to offer vegan grilled options.
On the menu: tasty sandwiches, chicken poutines, chicken served in portions or whole with fries and fresh salad, as well as an incredible hot sauce with a Caribbean touch.
The GOAT Grill, located at 4376 Notre-Dame Street West, has an indoor dining space with a lean style…
and a cozy greenery-covered terrace out back.
The side exterior wall of the GOAT is a real work of art; this huge artistic mural pays homage to some of the greatest athletes of all time; such as Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Patrick Roy, Serena Williams, Usain Bolt, Wayne Gretzky, Georges St-Pierre, Lionel Messi and Tom Brady.
Choosing the acronym for “Greatest of All Time” as both a whimsical name and perpetual source of inspiration, the GOAT Grill has challenged itself to be more than a restaurant: it wants to actively contribute to its community. Following the recent earthquakes that hit Haiti, the Marrache/Henry duo joined forces with Pour 3 Points, a local charity founded by coach Fabrice Vil that prepares and supports the athletes of tomorrow.

During the months of September and October, with each purchase of the trios “Number 10” and the “G.O.A.T.”, 50 cents will be paid to Pour 3 points and 50 cents will be sent to Haiti. So you can go eat at this hot chicken joint while knowing you are scoring for a good cause.
