Estrella Damm Gastronomy Congress Comes to Montreal

Estrella Damm –Barcelona’s most famous and popular beer– has had a delightful introduction to the Quebec market through the Estrella Damm Gastronomy Congress in Montreal: a great foodie event that was held for the first time here following the huge successes achieved in London, Miami, Manchester, Lisbon and Melbourne.

This invitation-only event took place Monday, May 30th, at Bonsecours Market, in the heart of Old Montreal, and honored one of the world’s most famous chefs, Joan Roca, chef of the three-star Michelin restaurant, El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, which has twice been crowned as the best restaurant in the world by The World’s 50 Best.

For this occasion, Joan Roca shared his culinary career, the history of his restaurant and his signature creations during a gastronomic demonstration.

During this exclusive evening, there was also the participation of a selection of local chefs from renowned restaurants in Montreal. Chefs –such as Rodrigo Olguin of Ayla; Sébastien Muniz of Tapeo; Sean Murray Smith of l’Île Flottante; Massimo Piedimonte of Cabaret l’Enfer; Alexandre Gosselin of Restaurant Chez Victoire; Hakim & Andrew of Yoko Luna; Guillaume & Athiraj of Restaurant Soubois; and Nicholas Bramos of Succeda– prepared culinary experiences associated with Estrella Damm.

During this unique and select event, more than 350 hand-picked guests from the local restaurant industry were able to admire the culinary and creative skills of one of the world’s greatest chefs.
