Discover Taste of the Caribbean Festival: Celebrating 25 Years at Montreal’s Old Port with new Attractions!

Taste of the Caribbean festival (TOTC), returns for its 25th anniversary edition from July 11 to 14th, 2024, in the Old Port of Montreal (Clock Tower Quay).

“We’ve got a SkyDeck!” exclaimed Cezar Brumeanu, executive producer of the Taste of the Caribbean (#ilovetotc) festival today. This year’s festival, happening from July 11th to 14th, 2024, at the Old Port of Montreal (Clock Tower Quay), is a massive 4-level SkyDeck adorned with two exclusive VIP terraces crafted from multiple 8’x40’ containers. It features a Rum Zone spread across two floors, along with VIP Experiences on the Mezzanine and 4th-floor Rooftop Lounge. More details available here.

New attractions this year include a cutting-edge UFROST rum freezing experience, two on-site volleyball courts, a children’s pool with boats, daily Caribbean Karaoke competitions, a graffiti wall, and a special appearance by festival founder Gemma Raeburn. Adding to the excitement are over 42 live performances on a unique arch-shaped stage by the waterfront.

A highlight of the 25th anniversary edition will be a special free screening of a Bob Marley movie on Sunday, July 14th, at 9 PM.

  • Main [FREE] Stage: Enjoy over 42 acts featuring interactive dance, percussion workshops, and electrifying performances by Caribbean artists supported by FACTOR and Stages Canada.
  • Rum Zone: Discover Caribbean rums on a 4-level SkyDeck with a mezzanine terrace, offering cocktails from sponsors like Mount Gay and MASQ Gin.
  • VIP Rooftop Lounge: Experience exclusive views from a special 4-level SkyDeck structure, including a private VIP rooftop lounge overlooking the main stage.
  • Food Zone: Sample traditional and fusion dishes from Haiti, Jamaica, and more.
  • Kids Zone: Let kids enjoy small boats on a miniature lake for a memorable experience.
  • Beach Volleyball: Play on Caribbean-style courts provided by Plage M.
  • Caribbean Karaoke: Join in the musical fun.
  • ‘One Love’ Tent: Explore Rooted 3.0 discussions and videos produced by our youth program with the BCRC, featuring music business and historical workshops, and screenings of our web-series episodes.
