Café Holt Ogilvy Shines with 1940s Hollywood Glamour

In June 2020, Holt, Renfrew & Co.’s new flagship luxury department store in Montreal, Holt Renfrew Ogilvy – and the chic Café Holt on its second floor – were fully completed and opened to the public for the summer season. With the fall-winter-spring lockdown finally over, both have reopened in June 2021 to the delight of customers.

Inspired by European art deco, 1940s Hollywood glamour, and classic South American design standards…

…renowned Paris-based design firm Laplace created Café Holt Ogilvy as a timeless space that is in keeping with the esthetic of the neighbouring Marcus Lounge in the Four Seasons Hotel.

The complex combination of noble materials such as Breccia Pernice marble and the custom design of many elements of the decor, including the solar light above the bar, underscores the fusion of Holt Renfrew and Ogilvy into one upscale boutique.

Located in the Golden Square Mile – a district that is becoming a Mecca of gastronomy in Montreal – the restaurant provides a unique experience in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere for guests to enjoy a contemporary Canadian menu with international influences.

The new lunch and brunch menu, crafted by the multi-talented Chef Joris Larigaldie, celebrates fresh, local ingredients while highlighting his French origins.

This gourmet yet simple menu offers classics such as the delicious avocado tartine, to new favourites such as ratatouille tart made with saffron goat cheese, puff pastry and honey confit red pepper.
