Each spring, Montreal’s social calendar reaches a luminous peak with the Daffodill Bal, aka: Bal de la Jonquille, a signature philanthropic evening where elegance meets impact. Returning to the historic setting of Windsor Station, the 2026 edition promises once again to gather the city’s most influential figures across business, culture, and philanthropy for a night defined by beauty, generosity, and collective purpose.

The Elite come together a few times a year to give back at Windsor station.
Organized by the Canadian Cancer Society, the Daffodill Bal is far more than a gala. It is the organization’s flagship fundraising event in Quebec, uniting a powerful community around a shared mission: advancing cancer research and supporting those affected by the disease. Since its inception, the event has raised nearly $48 million, funding breakthroughs and vital support programs that continue to transform lives.

Windsor station is a Bal favourite due to the elevated vaulted glass ceiling and spacious table seating!
Visually, the evening is instantly recognizable. Daffodill—Canada’s emblem of hope in the fight against cancer—sets the tone, bathing the space in shades of yellow that feel both radiant and symbolic. Floral installations, often dramatic and immersive, spill across tables and architectural features, creating an atmosphere that is at once refined and emotionally resonant. As the first flower of spring, the daffodil represents renewal and resilience, a message that quietly underscores every detail of the night.
Inside Windsor Station, the experience unfolds in layers. The Daffodill Bal Dress code is Fancy, Spring, Yellow or Gold. Guests arrive in black tie to a grand reception before being invited into an exquisitely staged dining room, where a curated gastronomic experience accompanies the evening’s programming. The Bal is known for its seamless blend of fine dining, live performances, and poignant storytelling moments—often featuring personal testimonies or artistic tributes that remind attendees of the human impact behind the cause.

The scale of the event is equally impressive. Recent editions have welcomed over 700 guests and achieved record-breaking fundraising results, including more than $3.4 million raised in a single evening. These numbers reflect not only the generosity of Montreal’s philanthropic community, but also the event’s growing reputation as one of the most important charity galas in the province.
For 2026, the Bal continues to position itself as the event of the spring season, offering multiple ways to participate—from corporate tables to individual attendance—while maintaining its signature exclusivity and high production value. The evening is guided by influential co-chairs and supported by a network of partners, volunteers, and creatives who elevate the experience year after year.
To attend the Bal de la Jonquille is to step into a space where glamour serves a greater purpose. It is a reminder that Montreal’s most beautiful nights are often those that give back the most—where every detail, from the golden glow of the décor to the energy in the room, contributes to something far beyond the evening itself.
