PASTA FEST 2022 | Montreal’s Pasta Dish Festival Returns

Fans of pasta comfort food will be happy to learn that Pasta Fest is back for a third edition this year! From May 11th to 24th, around 20 participating restaurants across the city are called to concoct a special dish of pasta for the occasion. Foodies of the Greater Montreal area will therefore have 13 days to taste the most pasta dishes possible!

New this year

A new feature was added to this year’s Pasta Fest event program. Participating restaurants will be able to face each other in a friendly competition and prepare a predetermined traditional Italian dish. This year, they will have fun making a staple of Roman cuisine, a Carbonara! Famous for its simplicity and good taste, the Carbonara is a dish made of egg, bacon and Pecorino Romano cheese that never ceases to amaze.

To judge the creations and select a winner, none other than Mario Cioffi, an Italian Chef ranked among GQ Italia’s Top 12 Influencers, will travel to Montreal for the first time.

In return, customers who visit and eat at two of the participating restaurants during Pasta Fest have a chance to win a trip for two to Rome, Italy. You can also vote online for your favorite special pasta dish. Thus the winning restaurant will earn a “best pasta” mention by a public vote.
