WILLN’T slams fans with a new wave | You’re Not Alone, Kid
WILLN’T is a New York-based recording artist and producer. The first single, “You’re Not Alone, Kid” is a synth-heavy, highly contagious and danceable new wave track.
Intriguing melodies, driving beats, and a positive message will make your heart soar. And it’s a message that couldn’t have come at a better time.
WILLN’T cites influences such as: Peter Gabriel, The Cure, Prince and Simple Minds to name a few. If I may say, this song reminds me of German synth-pop band, Wolfsheim although a little less somber. I could easily see this track in the end credits for the remake of The Breakfast Club. Just putting it out there.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll have noticed that there’s a recent resurgence of new wave.
For example, the Retro Futura Tour is currently touring the U.S. featuring 80’s iconic like: Howard Jones, The English Beat, Men Without Hats, Modern English, Paul Young, and Katrina. Clearly, the interest in this much-loved genre has not faded away.
If you’re eager for more from WILLN’T, “Backs Against The Wall” can currently be streamed online as well at: WILLN’T MUSIC
The debut EP will be released later this year with live shows just around the corner in 2018 and I intend to be there with my dancing shoes on. In the meantime you can follow this fave band of the BKM crew by visiting them below:
