When punk meets pink

Montreal-born visual artist Tina Cartier is back for her second solo show with the exhibition of a series of 50 new paintings — entitled ULTRA FEMININE — displayed during the grand opening of the new Hampton Gallery in NDG on Thursday, October 17.

Inspired by punk rock and street art, Tina works with a variety of mediums and techniques combining imagery with graffiti.

She uses the language of art as a way to express herself, not scared to be bold, as a result creating dynamic vivid pieces of art.

With this series of 50 new paintings, both large and small, Tina offers her rebellious take on modern women and the power of their sensuality.

Her exhibition coincides with the grand opening of the Hampton Gallery in a beautiful high-ceiling space located in the heart of NDG. Housed in a century-old restored building, this elegant atelier will serve as a platform for the presentation of other eye-popping artists.
