Opéra de Montréal fundraiser | A night of seduction

Picture Shakespeare’s Othello at the Teatro alla Scala. Sorry, that most likely will not happen in our lifetime. Picture this: a Night at the Opera amid the enchanting sets for Otello where anything goes: LIES PASSION JEALOUSY. The benefit event takes place Friday February 5th for an on-stage experience at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier (Place des Arts). The goal: raising funds for the Opéra de Montréal and to give our city’s young professionals the opportunity to experience or to re-discover opera in a unique and spectacular setting.
The Night at the Opera experience — much like opera itself — is a complete one. Some 500 attendees will enter a Moorish, nautical world where passion reigns all night long. On the program: DJ Jacques Boone, culinary creations by Olive Orange, a cocktail bar graciously supplied by Barefoot, Sapporo, and Coca-Cola, soprano Chantale Nurse performing in a cabaret set up inside a 53-foot truck, and a virtual reality station run by the Phi Centre. Other surprises in store over the course of this evening!
Who are the Young Associates of Opéra de Montréal? They are a group of young professionals looking to help the institution meet its objectives of broadening and renewing its audience, reaching out to the corporate milieu, and mobilizing the community of young professionals. The committee provides unique opportunities for discussion and learning, as well as privileged access to the opera.
Tickets are available via the Opéra de Montréal website. All funds raised during the event will support Opéra de Montréal activities. Special thanks to their main partners: National Bank, Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg, CPA, Pages Jaunes, JCCM, Sapporo and Air Canada.
Now boarding for an extraordinary night in the world of opera!
