After Le Petit Moscow and Le Petit Cuba, Les Petits Mtl is opening its third themed bar, Le Petit Mexico, on July 26, at the corner of Saint-Denis and Ontario streets.
The brainchild of the quatuor Benjamin Perez, Silvio Delcous, Sébastien Pirau and Laurence Perez; Les Petits Mtl is a series of bars under the theme of a city or a country. Each bar features the typical cocktail as well as the musical atmosphere and a decor in the image of the country.
While Le Petit Moscow is renowned for its many variations of Moscow mule and Le Petit Cuba for its mojitos, Le Petit Mexico will serve several varieties of shaken or frosted margarita available in 9 flavours (passion, jalapeno, strawberry, raspberry, peach, pineapple, mango, blueberries in addition to a special flavour that changes every week) as well as a large selection of mezcal and 38 kinds of tequila.
All cocktails are made from homemade fresh fruit puree and syrup.
For snacking, a few Mexican-inspired sandwiches will go wonderfully with your cocktails.
Le Petit Mexico, located on the ground floor just below Le Petit Cuba, will have a 25-seat terrace and a capacity of 60 people inside. The centerpiece of the decor is the oversized bar covered in a Mexican tile mosaic that runs the length of the room.
A painting by Frida Calo, the mallard green velvet furnishings and the decorative rope elements transport us to Mexico.
