Re-live the heyday of Las Vegas in the 1960’s with their revamp of the classic recipe of “Dinner and a Show”. (SKIP TO CONTEST RULES BELOW)
Sit down to a fancy meal while being entertained with an upbeat Cabaret show of live music & dance routines. Featuring shows from Wednesday to Saturday and a special brunch performance on Sundays! What is really interesting about Le Balcon is that it is still a Montreal Secret! Get to know it, before it becomes a trendy hot-spot ;)
We tried the Gospel brunch when we went there and it’s a simple and deliciously classic menu! To start, we each had the yummy yogurt vase of blueberry jam, crispy granola, honey and almonds. Nice healthy start, followed by the salmon gravlax benedictine, french roasted potatoes and a little side of seasonal fruits. We shared a wonderful platter of portugese cheese and bread. That paired really well with their killer brunch cocktails which are really exotic and spicy, perfect for winter comfort. There is something truly decadent about eating WHILE watching a show or listening to music. Movies & popcorn x 100. We have yet to try the dinner experience and can’t wait to go.
Located downtown in the magnificent historic architectural wonder that is the St James United Church, Le Balcon has created the ultimate cabaret venue inside with a top chef, mixologists and a balcony with special banquettes for the full VIP experience.
The menu provides guests with a choice between three options of Appetizer, main course and dessert. For vegetarian, began and gluten free meals, guests are encouraged to make the request in advance. As for drinks, there is a curated wine list, fancy cocktails and a good balance between top shelf and reasonably priced spirits.

In terms of the entertainment, previous shows have been created on themes like Cuban music, Jazz, Flamenco, 1980’s etc… For the month of December the programming’s theme is CELEBRATION and it consists of Disco, Soul, Motown and Funk performed by Dorian Sherwood, Freddie James Project, Dawn Tyler Watson, Off The Wall and my personal favorite Michelle Sweeney!
As a special treat on the 27th to the 29th of December the theme is “Noel Gospel Experience” with performances by HOWzik, Imani Gospel Singers and Michelle Sweeney. Likewise the Gospel Brunch on Sundays is an experience!
For their New Year’s Eve celebration the entertainment will be provided by the Freddy James Project performing Funk, Soul and Motown classics. The evening will also feature a surprisel guest DJ!
