Marilyn Monroe once said, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend“. Jackie O never left home without her pearls. Elizabeth Taylor wore tiaras like a queen.
What do these fashion icons have in common? JEWELRY
Les Joailliers du Dimanche and Etsy Montréal are here this weekend to make sure your jewelry reflects who you are.
Les joailliers du Dimanche is a Montreal nonprofit organization that organize jewelers exhibitions and sales. Whether you are a professional jeweler or an amateur these guys are here for you. As well, to keep up to date, their site offers all the news and info on the jewelry world.
Next, we all heard of Etsy, right? It’s an online marketplace for handmade goods, vintage items, and supplies for DIY. Moreover, its a worldwide community for independent creative businesses that have been certified B-Corporation. An awesome new company concept that uses commerce as a solution to social and environmental problems.

Montreal, thus being eco-friendly and a lover of all things local has evidently made it’s very own Etsy team, ETSYMTL. This year is the 4th edition of a brick and mortar version of the famous e-commerce platform. HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND!
On September 23rd and 24th, the Locoshop Angus is hosting over 100 local artists, DIY workshops, and entertainment. In the event of a grand celebration of all that is handmade!
Specifically, these are a couple things I’m excited for:
The unique accessories by Noujica
Mark’s Hot Sauce because I LOVE HOT SAUCE!
Atelier ARCHIPEL‘s adorable minimalistic notebooks
Meemoza‘s soft feminine conscious fashion.
Floral filled plugs by The Birch Trail
Geometric pendants and earrings by Frederique Mercure (loving the play on words)
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY,
THE FREE STUFF: Gift bags full of local goodies and coupons for the first 30 people in the door on each day. As well as snacks and drinks for the buyers.
Here is a list of everything else you will find at Etsy Fait au Québec 2017 – Montréal. I can’t wait to discover all of them!
Join me this weekend in Montreal to support sustainable products and flourishing talents.
By doing so, you are creating waves in the entire country. 2,500 artists will be participating in 39 different villages and cities around Canada on the SAME WEEKEND.
Remember to tag #Etsymadelocal and @etsy as well as #bestkeptmtl as you document your finds!!
