I Love Neon & The Session | A Looking Good Friday w/ DNB legend LTJ Bukem
Has anyone seen or heard of the renaissance man for a digital age?
Well our friends from I Love Neon (ILN) and The Session are spoiling us again, with none other than big producer / DJ / record label owner LTJ Bukem. The exceptional night is going down this Friday, June 1st at Theatre Fairmount and Best Kept MTL is beyond pumped to hear the legend drop his classics and pushing the boundaries of Drum and Bass lately.
This multi-talented artist, who began his musical career at a very young age as a classically trained pianist, started producing his own electronic music in the late 80s. He quickly gained fame in the UK rave scene by the early 90s with several of his personal releases such as the popular track Horizons!
From small clubs to massive festivals, the Drum and Bass baron is on tour again and is finally making a stop in Montreal, the beautiful city we call home.
LTJ Bukem is many things but is also the man behind Good Looking Records which he started in the mid 90s and continued in the 2000s with releases from himself and others such as Photek, Q Project and Phazer. His unique style and sound of jazzy DNB has caught the international scene’s eyes and ears ever since his early start touring the four corners of the planet.
And if you need a rewind of a LIVE set from the RAVE DAYS check out the classic essential mix from 1996 with MC Conrad and one of his Progression Sessions from the jungle massive days!
Calling out all 514 DNB heads, with the local support from Construct and Crimewave you know you can’t go wrong. Check the event link & make sure to buy your ticket ahead of time to save some moola and to support your local crews. Help us keep DNB alive on this side of the pond. One love!
