F1 Montreal | Official GP hotspots
This is going to be a long one, because let’s be for real, ANYONE and EVERYONE is having a Formula 1 party in MTL. It is the biggest money making excuse this city has… that being said, here are my top choices of must attend parties. Let us start with the street festivals:
Peel Street- Happening annually from Thursday through Sunday of GP weekend, the street is completely cut off from traffic. You can expect free concerts at night and the ever so classy Peel paddock making an appearance once again and serving up the Paddock Matinee Brunch on Saturday starting at 2:00 pm.
Old Montreal- Offering a different take on the typical F1 street festival, the Old Port is offering you the first edition of the F1 foodie zone along St Paul Street. Come on by for an atmosphere filled with yummy eats, quenching cocktails, DJs and a serious turn up. Perfect opportunity to try out some of Montreal’s most talked about eateries. I have a feeling this is where you will be running into some serious A-listers as well, especially if you hit up some of the Santos festivities. They are an old port fave, and are working once again with Notable.ca for an awesome event Sunday.
Monkland- Looking to steer clear of the downtown madness? Well the Monkland village has you covered throwing their own F1 party, away from all the F1 parties. This is a great place to bring your kids, enjoy some GP festivities and avoid the Montreal highways from hell.
Then we have the annual hotspots:
Becoming legendary in this city, The annual Ritz Carlton F1 Gala in collaboration with INFINITI Canada is once again bringing us a beautiful evening dedicated to the socialites of Formual 1 and Montreal’s Grand Prix weekend. A theme honoring Hampton chic this year, expect a night filled with: delicious food catered by the Ritz’ executive chef himself Johnny Porte, a savory open bar including a Moet & Chandon bubbly bar, and dancing the night away to the tunes of our very own Dj Yo-C. You can even expect a scheduled appearance from the 13 time F1 winner David Coulthard, and I’m sure a few other celebrity sightings as well. Tickets are very limited to this upscale event but still on sale, so click HERE to get yours before it sells out! and BELIEVE ME, it will!
MOMENTUM 2015- An annual F1 hotspot AND catering to some of the most upscale clientele in the city, the Auberge Saint Gabriel is back again this year, bringing 4 days of partying that will be bigger and sexier than ever. It all starts on Thursday as of 4:00 pm with the opening night in collaboration with Belvedere, Veuve Cliquot and Sokoloff Lingerie to bring you an opening night you will not forget, and then working into the Mansion party on Friday with an open bar for all ladies on the RSVP. Saturday brings you a full day in collaboration with FabBoss PR, which starts you off with the official Bagatelle brunch and continues into the annual Trifecta party. With Dulcedo Model Management offering themselves throughout the weekend festivities, you can expect bagatelle to be a brunch dedicated to the sexy party animals from in and around the city. Leave reality at home for the day, and come get turnt with us, you won’t regret it. Trifecta is: 3 Cities- MTL T.O NYC, 1 big, unforgettable night!! Dinner is sold out but bottle service is still available. And last but not least, the closing party. You can expect to see a little bit of everyone here as the weekend finally comes to a close and every wants to sit back and unwind.
Time Supper Club – The Havitov brothers are at it again bringing you Time Supper club as an annual go to location throughout GP weekend. Always catering to a posh crowd, and bringing in an exclusive guest line up for what is also their anniversary weekend (Scott Disick Sat night ahem), you can’t go wrong with this old gem. The outdoor space is perfect if the weather permits, and the secluded club on the lower part of St Jacques makes it very easy to get a little crazy and not worry about the noise complaints that are becoming ever so popular for Montreal establishments.
Pandore – Only in the game for the past year, Pandore has really made an impression on this city’s nightlife scene. They have been given the honour in holding not only the elite McLaren opening party hosted by Moetreal, but also the very famous, world renown and extremely exclusive, by invitation only closing party, The code 20. With just these 2 events alone, this should def put Pandore on your “must attend” list this weekend. Make sure to get your highest heels on, your sexiest dress out, and your classiest attitude ready to strut your stuff this weekend.
And now for the extras on the list that DEF deserve a mention…
With F1 being as popular as it is, it is a great opportunity for other companies to get a piece of the action. That being said, you’ve got FLYJIN starting the week off on Wednesday with the 2 year anniversary party and daily F1 parties going on through the weekend. You’ve also got the grand opening of the new Sofia Vineria (the old Cavallis) and the Mural fest official launch party going on Wednesday night as well. This year they are doing 11 full days of Mural fest, with it commencing on GP weekend. Just when we thought that Saint Laurent boul. was dead, here comes the Saintwoods boys to save the day with their visionary concepts, and innovative community ideas. More to come on that…. Then we’ve got the W hotel who is hosting their own little shindig on Saturday night, the #MtlPitStopParty to help promote 2 local designers Masabni and Wizeman, you will for sure catch me there. And lastly but definitely not least because this event is ALWAYS a rager, Blvd44 is holding their Sunday BBQ bash. Don’t miss out on this one because last year the lambos were lining up the block!!!
