Elisabetta Fantone’s Pop Art Retrospective at Galerie 203
With Retrospective, her fifteenth personal exhibition, contemporary artist Elisabetta Fantone gives us the fertile and nostalgic universe of the stars of the past and the present, from the 2nd to the 30th of November at the gorgeous Galerie 203.
Influenced by the pop art of the sixties, Elisabetta paints with bright colors and tireless fanaticism. Her passion for the 3rd art and her fascination with the icons of the past and the present, are the engines of her inspiration and place known faces at the center of her work. They dictate her choices but also guide her imagination.
Elisabetta is inspired by the great figures of fashion, cinema and music. She first pours out, without filter, emotions that only paintings can encapsulate. The painting is not the model. She is the gaze on the model. The creation is there, under the awed gaze of the artist who speaks to us in her own way through her brushstrokes. What matters to her is to transcribe what she feels, anonymity and fragility as well as celebrity.
