Amidst the slew of festivals, exhibitions and summer fun here in Montreal, BandMark has some special picks to top out week 30. Take a look and don’t miss out!
Of course, no Montreal July could be complete without some time spent laughing away at the many JFL events happening around town. On the smaller scale, Off-JFL has some stand-out comedians bringing the laughs at Comedyworks. Smaller crowds, intimate settings and cheap drinks all around. Take a look through their schedule and catch some laughs at this Montreal establishment all week long.
This Saturday July 25th, The Semi-Supervillains hit Bar Pub St-Denis here in Montreal during their first run through Canada. Bringing their brand of Garage Alt-Rock from Pittsburgh, and joining forces with local bands The Fuzzy Undertones & Docteur Couleur this event is sure to rock your senses. Just $5 cover at the door!
Personal pick of the week goes to Django Django. Playing Le National this Sunday July 26th. Hot off the release of their sophomore record, Born Under Saturn. This group of London based psychedelic art-rocker’s have seen critical acclaim from their first album, were nominated for 2012’s Mercury prize, and have kept the industry talking during promotion of the new record. Greenland Productions once again bring a intriguing act to town. Give the boys a spin, and do not miss their show at 8PM this Sunday! Tickets are priced at $23, $27 day of show and you can get em right here.
Hope to see everyone out this week enjoying summer life around town!
