While the longest day of the year just passed us by, Montreal summer is at its peak! I Love Neon, Piknic Elektronik, Ile Sonique and of course Anjunadeep bring you the Anjunadeep Open Air party! Their tour includes Brooklyn, San Francisco, London UK, and Vancouver! Here is their successful Fort Collins event…
With almost 5k interested on FB this will definitely be an event to remember this summer.
The last Anjunadeep event at SAT was incredible and each artist brought a unique sound to the night. I’m excited to see Luttrell and 16 Bit Lolitas tear the house again, this time in Summer, Parc Jean Drapeau, and beautiful trance rooted house music to get us going! One of my favourite sets last Anjunadeep event and I am excited to see what he has to offer this time around. His range of sounds from soft melodies to hard hitting bass.
Inspired by everything from the sunsets of his hometown of San Francisco, to DJing at Burning Man his early musical influences include Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and The Prodigy, but a semester spent studying in Berlin introduced him to techno. A recent track called Intergalactic Plastic is below for your listening pleasure.
Modd has been coming in strong the past two years with gigs at All Day I Dream and now the Anjunadeep Open Air parties. In my opinion, to be a part of those labels right now is a great achievement. His smooth sounds with some nomadic oriental hints really make him stand out in this bunch.
Berliner Martin Roth is a nice addition to the lineup providing a new name and a nice new progressive sound giving him a transcendent vibe feeling like you are floating through time. A perfect example of this is his track Guude Lane previewed below.
As for David Hohme, anyone who plays at the Bubbles and Bass party at Burning Man has my utmost respect! His sound can be described as perfect music providing pure bliss as you listen to his sound. His tracks are rooted in trance but the progression and beats are almost a futuristic trace, like the evolution of trance!
16 Bit Lolitas’s produce seductive rhythms and sultry beats. Their tunes force you to observe the life surrounding you. Quintessential Anjunadeep artists, present since 2008 with layered tracks and sharp production. They closed the show last time and they are not to be missed.
Hope to see you on the dancefloor, and save a boogie for me!
Bad ass Kurdish-Canadian feminist residing in Montreal! Looking to cover the best events, music, and collectives Montreal has to offer :)
