Phase two of the NFL Season has begun –battle lines have been drawn, key players are down for the count, and the number of teams who appear to have written off their entire season is growing in leaps and bounds… your fantasy strategy must adapt to compete. Players on these sinking teams: Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Minnesota, St. Louis, Cleveland, Philadelphia and Tennessee- should be avoided like the plague. Meanwhile it’s time that you were aware of this handful of youngsters and upstarts who combined for eight touchdowns last week alone:
Stills, Kenny, WR, New Orleans: With 37 fantasy points in his last 2 games, he’s owned in only a tiny fraction of leagues. Drew Brees is famed for spreading the ball around and Stills now has a firm role in this high octane offense –scoring touchdowns.
Jones, Marvin, WR, Cincinnati: Amassing 6 touchdowns and 240 yards in his last 3 games alone, this second year wideout is stunning defenses, fantasy owners and Bandmark bloggers alike with his production.
Andre Ellington, RB, Arizona: The much-talked about scat back had his breakout game last week registering 162 yards and a TD on only 17 touches. A Week 9 bye only increases his availability.
Terrance Williams, WR, Dallas. Romo has found Williams, who has risen past Miles Austin on the Cowboy depth chart, for a TD in four consecutive games.
Don’t get caught sleeping. Act fast and make roster changes –like NFL teams are doing during today’s trade deadline- if you want to make the playoff this year.
