With the Montreal summer in full swing, I want to take a look at some of the best Made in Montreal shops who can help you achieve that perfect summer look.
Two completely different stores on opposite sides of Montreal who sell Made in Montreal apparel, jewelry and beauty products. Amazingly enough, they didn’t hold many of the same brands.
Evelyne Drouin has been promoting Made in Canada for over 7 years, constantly collaborating with and exposing new lines and stores to increase the visibility of ethical and local products.
Evelyne Boutique has pretty much everything you can imagine from garments for women, men and children, accessories, home decor, condiments, beauty products, and even cocktail and bar selection. A one stop shop for local products! The owner, Evelyne Shannon Drouin, is no stranger to local fashion, she also is the head of Bold, the Agency, which manages the sales of a dozen independent Canadian and American designers.
Betina Lou started as a minimalist and simply feminine fashion line for women in 2009. Later on the designer Marie-Eve Emond and her team started a menswear line, Marmier, also effortless, minimalist and pure. The two home brands of the boutique are both designed and made in Montreal with a focus on quality, fit and finishing details, assuring a flawless product. The atelier/boutique near Beaubien metro also holds many different designers with creations made in Montreal, Canada or America, but always with the same morals in mind: quality, durability, and ethicality.

I am so proud that both of these supporters of Made in Montreal, Made in Canada and Slow-Fashion made it through the year, and I know they’ll make it through many others! They dared to live and breathe exactly what they believed in and consequently inspired others to believe in it too.
Buy Local and believe in Montreal’s talent and businesses.
