In an attempt to break out of its status quo of looking slightly out of place, Google has recently announced that it will work with the Luxottica Group to finally make their glasses something worth wearing. The Luxottica Group owns Eye-wear brands such as Ray-Ban, Oakely, and Vogue among many others. The search engine giant hopes that this will make its glasses look not just techie but also fashionable and cool! The company expects the Google Glass to be an evolution of everyday eyeglasses.
This announcement comes just a few weeks after Google mentioned that it aims to provide prescription options for its Glass. The company didn’t announce exactly when we expect to see these designer options, as the technology for it is still in development. In the same token, Google has yet to provide a date for the official worldwide launch of its Glass. All tech fans (and now, even fashion fans) have to now wait anxiously as Google starts giving out more and more information regarding its Glass as the days go by.
