The company Think Geek has created the best (or worst?) invention for musicians in the never ending self-promotion quest: the Personal Soundtrack Shirt. The shirt has an embedded speaker and originally comes with music themes and sound effects, but what’s interesting for musicians is that you can load your own MP3 files into the shirt’s memory card.
With one click of the remote control, suddenly the whole room can hear your music. Imagine being at a party with music execs all around – you can force them to listen to your demo then and there! No awkward pressing of your CD in their hand, wondering whether they’ll ever listen to it. I’m guessing this is an idea that sounds great in theory, but can quickly become annoying.
