My Bloody Valentine: MBV

Bloody Valentine is not on February 14th this year at all! Broken up since 1993, influential Dublin psych rockers My Bloody Valentine have re-united, issued a new album entitled MBV, and embarked on an accompanying tour, rolling through Montreal tomorrow night.

In light of the widespread psych revival that has seen major label bands like The Dandy Warhols, Mazzy Star or The Stone Roses tour recently, My Bloody Valentine’s reunion is surely warranted. Many consider their debut album to mark the beginning of the shoe-gaze genre proper, and a listen to their new album shows that they haven’t straid far from their hypnotic, distortion-drenched sound. Witness this tune from their new album : “She Found Now“.

Evenko presents My Bloody Valentine Wednesday, November 6th at Metropolis. You can buy tickets here.
