Since the 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti in 2010, killing an estimated 222,570 people, there remains major challenges ahead as the country slowly rebuilds. Two and a half years later, despite billions of dollars in reconstruction aid, the most obvious, pressing need — safe, stable housing for all displaced people remains unmet.
BandMark is proud to support Kanpe, a program integrating actions in nutrition, agriculture, financial autonomy, safe housing, education and health to fight diseases and poverty. Thanks to strategic partnerships with reputable organizations like Partners in Health and Fonkoze the Kanpe program integrates community services, so that all factors contributing to poverty are addressed in tandem and are properly coordinated. In this case the fundraiser will be in support of the ground work taking place in the rural community of Baille Tourrible in Haiti
